A little warrior...

The green dragoness known as Ninza walked calmy through the temple, heading to check on her egg and make sure it was safe. These were dangerous times when there were evil monsters running amoke, and female dragons were considered weak and useless...

So, it was very vital that she had a male dragon so he could be a warrior, instead of the low life females lived.

Her mate, Wornog, at been killed in one of his fights with the enemies as they tried to protect their land from the growing darkness.

But she put this out of her mind, because for now it was her time to look at her egg, make sure it hatched and see what gender the thing would be...

She approached the pile of hay where he egg was, and found it hatched. A little lump of something green lay around the egg shells gentle snoozing and snoring away. She gave an exited squeak and bounded towards the egg.

But as she approached, it was quite clear that it was, female.

She thought for a minute, then a crazy idea sprung to her head...what if she trained her daughter to be a warrior then ALL the females could battle the enemies?

After all, there was more females than there were males...and the males were running a little low...

She picked up her daughter in her paws, and as she did the tiny little creature opened her mouth and squeaked- "Mommy?"

Ninza laughed, holding back tears of happyness and sadness in one. She looked like her mate and was beautiful at the same time. "My little Apoline...you will honor us all."
